technologies company Teledyne <span class=\"s2\">Technologies Inc. has agreed<\/span> to buy In USA Inc., a Massachusetts-based maker of i <span class=\"s3\">ndustrial gas monitoring instruments,<\/span> for an undisclosed sum.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content__segment\">Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne (NYSE: TDY) said its Teledyne Instruments Inc. unit will acquire the assets of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.inusacorp.com\" target=\"_blank\">In USA Inc.<\/a>, based in Norwood, Mass., a maker of a range of ozone generators, ozone analyzers and other gas monitoring instruments using ultraviolet and infrared-based technologies.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"inset inset--major hidden--print hidden--lg hidden--xl\">\n<div class=\"xs-only__expander sm-only__expander \"><\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<p class=\"content__segment\">Teledyne said it expects the deal to close later this month, subject to customary conditions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content__segment\">Founded in 1988, In USA\u2019s gas sensors and monitors are designed for use across several industrial process applications in the semiconductor, water treatment, food and beverage and pharmaceutical industries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content__segment\">Teledyne said it plans to relocate and consolidate manufacturing into the new, owned facility of Teledyne Advanced Pollution Instrumentation in San Diego.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content__segment\">Teledyne Chairman, President and CEO <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/losangeles\/search\/results?q=Robert%20Mehrabian\">Robert Mehrabian<\/a> said Teledyne Advanced Pollution Instrumentation is one of the company\u2019s strongest performing units, and the acquisition of In USA will add complementary products, sales channels and applications expertise to its existing industrial ozone instrumentation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content__segment\">Teledyne Technologies makes instrumentation, digital imaging products and software, aerospace and defense electronics,
