inforamtion.<\/p>\n<h1><strong>ECOSENSORS FAQ AND GENERAL INFORMATION<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h3><strong>WILL I GET A CALIBRATION CERTIFICATE?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Yes, all EcoSensors products are shipped with a recent calibration certificate showing<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a title=\"NIST traceable refernce for gas sensors\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nist.gov\/mml\/csd\/sensing\/ntrm.cfm\" target=\"_blank\">NIST traceability<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>HOW OFTEN SHOULD MY SENSOR BE CALIBRATED?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Factory calibration should be performmed annually on all EcoSensors products to ensure maximum accuracy and safety.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>CAN I BUMP-TEST MY ECOSENSORS PRODUCT?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Yes, most EcoSensors products measure ozone.\u00a0 A small ambient air ozone generator can be used to bump test the sensor.\u00a0 These are low cost and readily available.<\/p>\n<p>The C-21, and C-12 are VOC sensors.\u00a0 A simple Sharpie marker near the sensor will be a great bump test.\u00a0 Sufficient VOC gasses are emiited from an uncapped marker to bump-test these sensors.<\/p>\n<p><a chip\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gas-sensing.com\/replacement-sensors\/sm-x.html\" target=\"_self\">SM-X ozone sensor chip.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"SM-X ozone sensor\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gas-sensing.com\/replacement-sensors\/sm-x.html\" target=\"_self\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"SM-X SENSOR 0-20 PPM\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gas-sensing.com\/media\/catalog\/product\/cache\/1\/small_image\/210x\/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95\/s\/m\/sm-x.png\" alt=\"SM-X Replacement Ozone Sensor\" width=\"80\" height=\"80\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The SM-X is a mass proeduced, yet accurate ozone sensor that is considered disposable.\u00a0 There is no calibration option for this esnsor.\u00a0 The expectation is that this $150 sensor chip is replaced annually with a new sensor chip.\u00a0 The SM-X is only available in one range, 0-20 ppm, each device may use that data and display differently, however we keep it simple and can use the same sensor for each device listed above.<\/p>\n<p>The SM-X carries all calibration data, along with a humidity sensor for humidity compensation that is calibrated to work with the sensor.\u00a0 No calibration alterations are necessary or possible with the SM-X sensor chip.<\/p>\n<p>Each of these sensors calibration can be checked throughout the year, using the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a title=\"OG-3 Ozone Calibration Checker\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gas-sensing.com\/accessories\/og-3-ozone-checker.html\" target=\"_self\">OG-3 Calibration Checker.<\/a>\u00a0 The OG3 will easily and quickly verify that the SM-X incorporated on your device is still accurate and reading ozone correctly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"answer2\">OEM-1, OEM-2, AND OS-3<\/h2>\n<p><em>Note: the OS-3 Ozone Sensors are not currently in production, however we can service these devices as long as they continue to function in your application.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>These devices all use the SM Replacement Ozone Sensors.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gas-sensing.com\/media\/catalog\/product\/cache\/1\/thumbnail\/75x\/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95\/s\/e\/sen-1_image.png\" alt=\"SEN-1 Replacement zone Sensor\" \/><\/p>\n<p>These sensors are not designed to be calibrated or serviced after getting put in use.\u00a0 Therefore the sensor is simply replaced with new, and the old sensor is disposed of.\u00a0 No return policy is required for the old sensor.\u00a0 The cost of the replacement sensor is only $99.\u00a0 This low cost is lower than any factory calibration offered by any vendor we are aware of!<\/p>\n<p>The<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a title=\"SM-1 Replacement ozone sensor for OEM-1, OEM-2, and OS-3 OZone Meters\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gas-sensing.com\/replacement-sensors\/sm-1.html\" target=\"_self\">spare sensor module<\/a><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>is availabe in 3 ranges, 0.1, 1.0, and 10.0 ppm (part numbers, SM-0.1, SM-1.0, and SM-10) The OEM-1 can be used interchangeably with any of these three sensor ranges.\u00a0 However, the OEM-2 and OS-3 are built and calibrated for one sensor range, ensure you purchage the right sensor range for your device.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a title=\"SM-1 Replacement ozone sensor for OEM-1, OEM-2, and OS-3 OZone Meters\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gas-sensing.com\/replacement-sensors\/sm-1.html\" target=\"_self\">Purchase Spare sensor Modules HERE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Each of these sensors calibration can be checked throughout the year, using the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a title=\"OG-3 Ozone Calibration Checker\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gas-sensing.com\/accessories\/og-3-ozone-checker.html\" target=\"_self\">OG-3 Calibration Checker.<\/a>\u00a0 The OG3 will easily and quickly verify that the SEN-1 incorporated on your device is still accurate and reading ozone correctly.\u00a0 While the OEM-1 and OEM-2 do not have displays, there is a method to verify calibration.\u00a0 The<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a title=\"Measruing voltage output of the OEM-1\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ecosensors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/old\/OEM1-100.pdf\" target=\"_self\">OEM-1 offers a 0-1 VDC ouput that is linear with the range of your sensor<\/a>.\u00a0 The OEM-2 provides a 4-20mA output that is linear with the rage of your sensor.\u00a0 Using a multimeter, or volt meter you are able to verify sensor readings without a display.<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2 id=\"answer3\">EX-1X, A-21ZX, C-30ZX, AND OS-1X<\/h2>\n<p><em>Note: the OS-1X Ozone Sensors are not currently in production, however we can service these devices as long as they continue to function in your application.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>These devices all use an integrated sensor.\u00a0 The best option for calibration is to ship the sensor back to Gas Sensing, or EcoSensors to have a factory calibration performed.\u00a0 Most often, after 1-year of use the sensor needs to be replaced.\u00a0 The sensor in these deivces is soldered onto the board and not replaced without some labor.\u00a0<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a title=\"A-21ZX Ozone SEnsor replacement\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gas-sensing.com\/a21zx-sensor-replacement\" target=\"_self\">Follow this link, for detailed instructions on sensor replacement.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you do choose to purcahse and your VOC sensor can also be performed.\u00a0 We suggestion using something simliar to a common Sharpie marker.\u00a0 These are common, and off-gas a great deal of VOC gasses.\u00a0 Placing this near UV based instrucment that is extremely accurate, and extremely sensitive.\u00a0 Great care should be taken with any calibration or lamp replacment.<\/p>\n<p>Calibration of the UV-100 can be peformed by obtaining an ozone reference standard and entering the admin menu of the UV-100.\u00a0 The Zero, and Span settings of the UV-100 can be altered in that menu.<\/p>\n<p>The UV-100 UV bulb can be
