{"id":874,"date":"2015-04-13T02:47:35","date_gmt":"2015-04-13T02:47:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ozone-services.com\/?p=874"},"modified":"2015-04-13T02:47:35","modified_gmt":"2015-04-13T02:47:35","slug":"unf-launches-ozone-sensor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oxidationtech.com\/blog\/unf-launches-ozone-sensor\/","title":{"rendered":"UNF launches ozone sensor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"cmCredit\">By <a href=\"http:\/\/www.actionnewsjax.com\/staff\/deanna-bettineschi\/\">Deanna Bettineschi<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"cmCredit\"><a title=\"ozone sensor for research\" href=\"http:\/\/www.actionnewsjax.com\/news\/news\/local\/unf-launches-ozone-sensor\/nkSTF\/\" target=\"_blank\">Full story here:<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"cmDateline\">JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014<\/p>\n<div class=\"cmArticle cmOembedContainer\">\n<p>A University of North Florida physics professor and his student team launched an ozone sensing device to the edge of space.<\/p>\n<p>According to the professor, it flew to the edge of space to a record-breaking height of 102,200 ft.<\/p>\n<p>This February, with the help of a commercial balloon space flight company and United Parachute,\u00a0 it was launched from Arizona into the earth\u2019s stratosphere to detect the ozone.<\/p>\n<p>Student Ken Emanuel said detecting the ozone layer is important.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe depletion of the ozone layer is a phenomenon related to different gases that come from us as humans.
