Kynar Fitting 60-6-6
The Kynar Fitting 60-6-6 is a male branch tee made out of PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) which is an ozone compatible material that is resistant to abrasion and chemical corrosion making it ideal for handling highly corrosive fluids. These fittings use a plastic gripper providing a strong grip on plastic tubing.

Kynar Durability
Kynar fittings are known for being extremely durable and have outstanding aging resistance when used with ozone. PVDF is an abrasion and corrosion resistant thermoplastic with the largest working chemical range and impact strength over twice that of PVC. This material can withstand harsh prolonged mechanical abuse with properties that remain constant after several years. PVDF is fire resistant, given the highest rating in the Underwriter’s test which indicates that it is non-flammable and self-extinguishing. Fittings made from this material have a working temperature range of -40°F to 250°F. PVDF is resistant against strong inorganic and organic acids, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, and halogenated solvents. It is FDA compliant, non-toxic and suitable for repeated contact with food products.

Plastic Gripper
This fitting uses a nut with a plastic gripper which is designed to create a sure hold around plastic tubing. The nut’s internal components adjust to seal around plastic tubing when tightened making it ideal for use with FEP tubing. Both the nut and its internal components are made of the same durable Kynar material as the rest of the body, ensuring maximum durability for long term use. |
Installation
1. Cut the tubing end squarely and remove the internal and external burrs. | 2. Insert the tubing through the back end of the nut all the way through the nut assembly to the tube stop in the fitting body. | 3. While holding the tubing firmly against the tube stop, hand tighten the nut. | 4. Wrench tighten the nut 1 1/2 to 2 additional turns. | 5. All nuts must be retightened when the system reaches projected operating temperature. |
