Here is a recap of a great successful service visit our service tech John made recently.
We were called by a water utility in Kansas that had an Ozonia CFV-4 ozone generator that had an “Inverter Fault”. The ozone generator had recently overheated and was now faulting out prior to producing any ozone. The customer had minimal experience with these ozone generators and could provide us with minimal troubleshooting info, therefore we drove down to perform an assessment of the unit.
After the initial assessment on-site we determined the likely culprit of the issue was in the ozone generator cell itself. Therefore, we opened the cell and began to remove dielectrics.
Quickly, John found a dielectric with damage to the ceramic-coated dielectric. See the image above of the damaged dielectric. This dielectric is also very dirty, this contamination was similar throughout the unit. Therefore, with help from the on-site staff and the guidance of John from Oxidation Technologies the Ozone Generator was disassembled, cleaned, and re-assembled.
Overall, this was a relatively quick turn-around for the repair and re-reinstatement of the ozone generator for the customer. Should you have questions on repair or service of any ozone system, contact our office, we would be glad to help.
