How to Install an Ozone Scrubber on tank head-space

Ozone is commonly used for water treatment in vented, non-pressurized tanks. However, in these applications, ozone gas commonly leaks from the tanks causing safety issues and problems. The solution to this is installing an ozone destruct unit to eliminate any potential fugitive ozone emissions.

Ozone is usually dissolved into water via a venturi injector or bubble diffuser. Excess, undissolved ozone will rise to the head-space of the tank. Ideally the ozone scrubber should be installed with a blower or fan to pull a vacuum through the ozone destruct unit and the head-space of the tank. See diagram below for common install set-ups.
