How It Works: Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA)

The OG-1000 Oxygen Generator uses PSA technology to separate oxygen from nitrogen in compressed air.

  1. Compressed air is introduced into the first molecular sieve bed, where nitrogen is adsorbed by the Zeolite material, allowing oxygen to pass through.
  2. Once the first bed becomes saturated with nitrogen, airflow switches to the second bed, which begins oxygen production while the first bed vents its captured nitrogen into the atmosphere.
  3. This alternating cycle ensures a constant, uninterrupted supply of oxygen.

The process is fully automated and produces oxygen efficiently and reliably without the need for external tanks or cryogenic systems.


Typical System Configuration

To ensure optimal performance, the OG-1000 requires a compressed air supply and supporting components for filtration and drying. A typical installation includes:

  1. Air Compressor: Provides at least 175 CFM at 90 PSI or higher.
  2. Particulate Filter: Removes dust and oil from the compressed air stream.
  3. Refrigerant Air Dryer: Reduces moisture to achieve a 40°F dew point.
