Online ozone calculators

Ozone dosage rates into water flows

Calculate ozone dosage rates into water based on your water flow rate (GPM) and desired ozone dosage rate (ppm) to determine the required ozone production rate for your system (g/hr)

GPM
ppm
g/hr ozone

(GPM x 3.78 x 60 x ppm) / 1,000 = g/hr ozone

This provides ozone dosage rates into water. Actual dissolved ozone levels in water will be different as no ozone system is 100% efficient at dissolving and keeping ozone in water.

Ozone Dosage Rate Calculator

Calculate ozone dosage rates into water based on your water flow rate (GPM) and ozone generator output (g/hr) to determine the dosage rate of water achieved with your water flow rate and ozone generator.

GPM
g/hr
ppm

(g/hr x 1,000) / (GPM x 3.78 x 60) = ppm

This provides ozone dosage rates into water.  Actual dissolved ozone levels in water will be different as no ozone system is 100% efficient at dissolving and keeping ozone in water.

Ozone Generator Output Calculators:

Calculate ozone output from LPM and g/m3 ozone concentration)

LPM
g/m3
g/hr

((LPM x 60) x 0.001) x g/m3 = g/hr

This calculation works the same regardless of feed-gas type (air or oxygen) as a mass (grams) is used in the calculation, therefore it is a direct calculation.

Calculate ozone output from LPM and % by weight, Oxygen feed-gas

LPM
% by weight
g/hr

((LPM x 0.001) x 60) x (14.3 x % by weight)

This calculates ozone output in g/hr when using oxygen feed-gas and % by weight ozone concentration.

Calculate ozone output from LPM and % by weight, Air feed-gas.

LPM
% by weight
g/hr

((LPM x 0.001) x 60) x (12.8 x % by weight)

This calculates ozone output in g/hr when using dry-air feed-gas and % by weight ozone concentration.

g/hr

mg/hr

kg/hr

lb/day = pounts per day

g/hr = grams per hour

mg/hr = milligrams per hour

kg/hr = killograms/hour

Ozone Concentration in air by volume

mg/l, g/m3, ug/ml
ppm
pphm
mg/m3 O3

1 mg/l = 1 g/m3 = 1 ug/ml = 467 ppm O3

1 ppm = 2.14 mg/m3 O3

100 pphm (parts per hundred million = 1 ppm (parts per million)

This calculator is only used for ozone concentrations values by volume. See below for by weight conversions.

Ozone Concentration in air by weight

g/m3 O3
ppm O3
%

100 g/m3 = 7.8% O3

1% = 12.8 g/m3 O3

1% = 7,284 ppm O3

This calculator is used for converting ozone concentration units when ozone is measured in air. For oxygen use the calculaotor below.

Ozone Concentration in oxygen by weight

g/m3 O3
ppm O3
%

100 g/m3 = 6.99% O3

1% = 14.3 g/m3 O3

1% = 6,520 ppm O3

This calculaotr is used for converting ozone concentration units when ozone is measured in oxygen. For air, use the calcultaor above.

Corrected pressure for pressurized flow meter

Measured Flow
Pressure in PSI
Corrected Flow Rate

Corrected Flow = Measured flow X √ (PSI +14.7) / 14.7

Calculate pressure in your float style flow-meter using this calculation. When flow-meters are under pressure the flow must be calculated for the pressure to provide accurate flow readings.
