Service Spotlight – Field Service Success Across Multiple Ozone Applications

A week of on-site service visits supporting critical ozone applications across municipal, industrial, and manufacturing facilities, including bottled water production, public drinking water treatment, chemical manufacturing, and building materials operations – highlighting emergency response, system recovery, and proactive ozone support to keep essential systems running reliably.

Reyes Coca Cola in Grand Rapids called Friday with emergency – Hach dissolved ozone sensor had failed.

Ozone is used for Dassani bottled water.  Monday afternoon we helped them install a Q45 dissolved ozone monitor with sensor and constant head flowcell.  By the time we got there, they were able to get a sensor from another Coca Cola bottler and had it working, but wanted to install the Q46 as a backup.

Word will spread now to their other plants that Oxidation Technologies has fast service and options!

Next was the Monroe water treatment plant to fix a high voltage DC error on their old GS 200 ozone generator.  They treat 8 million gallons of water per day from Lake Erie for drinking water.  They wanted this as a backup, and were very happy to have this generator working again after being down two years. We had spent a week here in  August to rebuild the cell.

Additionally, we paid a courtesy visit at nearby Frenchtown water treatment plant.

Wednesday morning we stopped at Spartan Chemical Company near Toledo to evaluate their need to replace 4 AV88 sensors and evaluate service for a 300 gram per hour ozone injection skid from Ozone Solutions.   They need ozone for ultra pure water used to make soap for soap dispensers.  They are relieved to have us on board after their frustrations with another company.

On the way to the airport, we stopped at US Gypsum in Detroit. They pump water from the river to make Drywall sheets.  Ozone keeps snails and other aquatic life forms from growing in their storage tank and being fossilized in drywall. Very simple air fed ozone setup that is getting the job done, but they need support to understand how it works and ensure it is actually making ozone. They were very happy to learn that they could get a working ORP monitor and use a I2019 ozone test kit to help them take ownership of their equipment. Quarterly service is something we provide at Oxidation Technologies, and we make sure everything is working smoothly and provide solutions.
