The video below illustrates the process of producing ozonated olive oil from a dry-air ozone generator. This illustrates the “wrong way” to produce ozonated olive oil. The final produce was sub-par and was not suitable for use. We created this video to validate our theory that creating ozonated olive oil from an air-fed ozone generator is not a viable option.
Ozonated olive oil is created by dissolving ozone gas into high-quality olive oil. In this video, this process was performed with an ozone generator producing ozone from Dry Air rather than oxygen.
Dry air was produced with a PSA air dryer providing dry air at -100 deg dew point.
Specific products used:
Dry air flow was 1.5 LPM. Ozone concentration was 3% by weight. Total ozone production was 3.4 g/hr.
Total time of process was slightly more than 48 hours.
This illustrates a process using “best case scenario” equipment to produce ozonated olive oil from a dry air ozone generator. We believe that the production of ozonated olive oil should only be performed with oxygen-fed ozone generators. This video illustrated that the quality of ozonated olive oil, when produced with ozone produced from dry air, is of a lower quality than ozonated olive oil produced from an oxygen-fed ozone generator.
