Ozone dosage rate into water calculator

Ozone dosage rates into water flows

Calculate ozone dosage rates into water based on your water flow rate (GPM) and desired ozone dosage rate (ppm) to determine the required ozone production rate for your system (g/hr)

GPM
ppm
g/hr ozone

(GPM x 3.78 x 60 x ppm) / 1,000 = g/hr ozone

This provides ozone dosage rates into water. Actual dissolved ozone levels in water will be different as no ozone system is 100% efficient at dissolving and keeping ozone in water.

Next calculator reverses the calculations to determine ozone demand

Ozone Dosage Rate Calculator

Calculate ozone dosage rates into water based on your water flow rate (GPM) and ozone generator output (g/hr) to determine the dosage rate of water achieved with your water flow rate and ozone generator.

GPM
g/hr
ppm

(g/hr x 1,000) / (GPM x 3.78 x 60) = ppm

This provides ozone dosage rates into water.  Actual dissolved ozone levels in water will be different as no ozone system is 100% efficient at dissolving and keeping ozone in water.

A Few Notes:

    1 ppm - 1mg/l ozone in water.

If you are looking to convert using mg/l this calculator works without change as 1 ppm ozone - 1 mg/l ozone

    1 g/hr = 1,000 mg/hr ozone

  If you are looking for ozone production in mg/hr, 1 g/hr = 1,000 mg/hr

    18.89 g/hr = 1 lb/day ozone

  If you are looking for ozone production in lb/day, 18.89 g/hr = 1 lb/day

Other Conversions:

    1 GPM = 3.78 LPM

    1 m3 = 264.17 Gallons
