The Oxidation Technologies service team traveled to Brunsville, IA for Scooters Natural Meats to begin phase one of a multi-step effort to restore their ozone system to a more reliable and efficient operating state. The first two photos capture the system before service, while the following images show its condition when our team wrapped up the visit – highlighting meaningful progress, even as work continues.
Over time, the system had been operating in a reactive maintenance mode rather than a preventative one, with several changes made over the years. During this visit, our primary focus was on replacing and eliminating multiple motorized ball valves used to control ozone flow during fumigation, helping simplify operation and improve long-term reliability. While on site, additional issues were identified with the sieve bed and injection pump. Thanks to quick coordination and same-day parts delivery from our team member, those components were replaced without delaying system startup.
In addition to hands-on repairs, the visit included time dedicated to educating the Scooters Natural Meats maintenance team on how the system functions and what components should be inspected on a regular basis to prevent future issues. The system is now up and running, but this is just the first step. At least one more visit is planned to complete remaining items, make quality-of-life improvements, and fully bring the system back to a dependable, preventive-maintenance-focused operation.
