DC PRO 970

The new DC PRO 970 is one of the handiest ozone generators available today. It works in the car, in the house, the cottage, hotel room, boat, it can even work on a battery pack. The uses for this ozone generator are endless. The DC PRO 970 is a medium-sized ozone generator designed for use in a room or building up to approx. 5,000 sq/ft for freshening the air, or shock treating up to about a 800 sq/ft area. (Please Note: Ozone is not capable of penetrating solid matter, i.e., walls. Ozone levels for particular square footages are assuming that there are not walls, doors, etc., that would prevent the ozone from traveling efficiently). This unit does have a variable control for adjusting the output. The output starts at approx. 10 mg/hr and goes up to 950 mg/hr.

The DC PRO 970 is a top-of-the-line ozone generator for both recreational and industrial purposes. Corona discharge is used for the ozone generation, this unit also does not require a feed gas which helps to maximize the generator's usability. DC PRO 970 vs. Ionizers:

There is a lot of confusion when it comes to the benefits of using an ozone generator for air purification/disinfection vs. the use of an ionizer with the same end-goal in mind. The big thing to remember is that ionizers do not have the capacity to actually disinfect spaces/surfaces. Ionizers essentially work be electrically “sticking” viruses and bacteria to surfaces. This is done by magnetic electrical waves the ionizers create. In the short-term, the ionizers may seem like they are working because of the smell fresh that is created. However, in the long-run, they can cause a film of bacteria, dust, etc., to develop to on surfaces because nothing is being destroyed. Ozone (O3), on the other hand, actually kills (oxidizes) the room and destroys odor sources before converting back into oxygen (O2).
