Description / UV PRO 4000
The UV PRO 4000 is a top-of-the-line ozone generator for both recreational and industrial purposes. UV ozone technology is used for the ozone generation, this unit also does not require a feed gas which helps to maximize the generator’s usability. The UV PRO 4000 is rated for 4,000 mg/hr of ozone production, however, it will produce approximately 5,000 mg/hr for the first week before leveling off to the rated production. With these levels of ozone production, you can reach 3 PPM in a 1,250 sq/ft room, or approximately 1.5 PPM in a 2,500 sq/ft room. (Please Note: Ozone is not capable of penetrating solid matter, i.e., walls. Ozone levels for particular square footages are assuming that there are not walls, doors, etc., that would prevent the ozone from traveling efficiently).
Another great benefit of the UV PRO 4000 is that it is a UV base generator. Because of this, the ozone generator’s environment is not nearly as important as it is for a generator that uses corona discharge. For an ozone generator that creates O3 from corona discharge, a humid environment directly correlates to a lowered performance and less ozone being produced. Using UV technology to generate ozone gives you additional piece-of-mind by ensuring that your location will not directly correlate to a misuse of the system.
We also offer a generous warranty with the sale of the UV PRO 4000 of 5 years (system) and 6 months (bulbs) against defect in materials and workmanship. Please note that this liability is limited to parts and labor and shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
Applications:
-Shock treating smaller sized rooms (attack odors at their source)
-Room sterilization
-Odor removal
-Car odor
-Cigarette/Cigar smoke smells
-Pet odors
-Protein decomposition
-Water/Fire damage remediations
-Air purification
UV PRO 4000 vs. Ionizers:
There is a lot of confusion when it comes to the benefits of using an ozone generator for air purification/disinfection vs. the use of an ionizer with the same end-goal in mind. The big thing to remember is that ionizers do not have the capacity to actually disinfect spaces/surfaces. Ionizers essentially work be electrically “sticking” viruses and bacteria to surfaces. This is done by magnetic electrical waves the ionizers create. In the short-term, the ionizers may seem like they are working because of the smell fresh that is created. However, in the long-run, they can cause a film of bacteria, dust, etc., to develop to on surfaces because nothing is being destroyed. Ozone (O3), on the other hand, actually kills bacteria (oxidizes) the room and destroys odor sources before converting back into oxygen (O2).
